So you’ve decided on implementing these very handy marketing devices for your business. You’ve created your design, chosen your style and picked your size. What’s left? You might be in a dilemma trying to figure out the best material for your table talker or tent card. Luckily, we’re here to help! Check out our nifty guide to table talkers materials.
Standard table talker material
At tabletalkerpriting.co.uk we print on 350gsm silk as standard. Gsm stands for ‘Grams per square meter’ and indicates the paper’s density. In this case 350 gsm is the same sort of stock as a conventional business card, offering tension and durability, without being thick or bulky. Silk paper is card stock that features a gentle laminate, offer a slight sheen – hence the name ‘silk.’ However, we recognise that not every table talker is build to be the same. As such, we offer a variety of other finishes and paper stock including…
Uncoated stock
Whereas silk paper comes with an additional built-in laminate to provide a sheen, uncoated stock is just that: uncoated. The advantage of uncoated stock is that it offers a natural, rustic look: ideal to fit in with your bar or restaurant decor. The lack of any sheen also means that there won’t be any minor reflections. The disadvantage is that, without any laminate, the table talker won’t be as durable, and may be easier to tear.
Recycled Uncoated
This uncoated stock has all the advantages and disadvantages of uncoated general, but with one important difference. This paper stock is made from fully recyclable paper, allowing you to considerably contribute to your company’s green ethos. And, added bonus – it can be recycled after use too!
Recycled matt and gloss
Recycled paper is obviously fantastic – allowing you to reduce your carbon emissions and be a friend to the environment. But, as previously mentioned, uncoated stock isn’t necessarily as durable or long-lasting as coated options. By adding a matt or gloss laminate to your recycled paper, you increase its lifespan and also give it an extra aesthetic finish. Most matt and gloss laminated papers are still recyclable too!
Different gsms
We also offer a variety of gsms on all our different paper stocks, ranging from 200 to 400 gsms (and we can create heavier duty table talkers if you prefer – just get in touch for more information.) A 200 gsm stock will be thinner and less durable than the standard 350 – but this may ideal for your purposes, especially if your table talkers are intended to be single-use only. Alternatively, the 400gsm will offer a sturdier and more durable option than the standard 350.
At table talker printing we recognise that your uses and needs will be different with each order. That’s why we’ve offered a wide range of materials for table talkers, alongside a variety of thicknesses. We want to ensure you create your perfect table talkers, for any occasion. Can’t find what you need? No problem! We can also create custom table talkers – just get in touch today!
